Further to advise as above, I am finding the latest version 23.0.1 is slow working after it has been running for a while, a check in Task manager shows a very high memory usage, so if you don't have very much RAM to start off with, that in turn will slow everything else down while Firefox is open.
Once Firefox has been running for a while, open "Task manager" ( click start and type "Task Manager" into the search box)
Have a look under the processes tab, have a look at what the figure is for Firefox under memory, and let us know both that figure, and also how much RAM you have in your computer.

Hi, thanks for the information, until those folks at Firefox get this memory hogging problem solved I am afraid that with only 1.00GB of RAM, it will slow the whole thing down.
As I said I am having some problems with it and I have 4.00GB installed.
If you close Firefox entirely and try Internet explorer, do you find things speed up at all?

    Nev.
