I was able to resolve my original issue by resetting my BIOS settings. Unfortunately, now that I can boot from the install disc I am running into this error.

"Windows has encountered a problem with a device connected to your computer.

This error can be caused by unplugging a removable storage device such as an external USB drive while the device is in use, or by faulty hardware such as a hard drive or or CD-ROM drive that is failing. Make sure that any removable storage is properly connected and then restart your computer.

If you continue to receive this error message, please contact the hardware manufacturer.

    Status:0xc0000e9

Info: An unexpected I/O error has occurred."

Now, the strange thing is that there is no removable storage attached to my computer. The only items currently plugged into my computer are the mouse, keyboard, power cord and ethernet cable. As for "hard drive or or CD-ROM drive that is failing", I only have an SSD and one CD drive connected to the computer. In know that the SSD is functional because I can still access the on install. I don't know how to confirm that the CD drive is working but I don't have any reason to think that it's not. None of this was a problem a few months ago when I originally installed the OS.

I know that an SSD is different from an HDD, maybe the install disc thinks it's removable storage?

Any suggestions on how I can get past this error?

The most likely problem is that the install disk is bad or that the cdrom is bad.

They do go bad if you don't use them.

I've tried a couple different install discs so it seems unlikely that they are the problem. I guess the cdrom could be bad but it was working just fine until now, that is until I started trying to reinstall my OS after this malware issue. Any way to find out for sure whether the cdrom or discs are bad?

I hit a similar problem to this once, the Disks are easy to check, I Just put them in another computer and try booting off them and cancel the installation at your first option, the Drive as it turned out to be for me, I purchased another cheap drive, after which I dismantled the Original faulty Drive, and found a small adhesive foam pad jamming the mechanism inside, I now have two drives :) I have also found a quality lens cleaner has also resolved a similar issue.

    Hey, its Anjo

So I thought of something else about your problem after reading your post. You might have to check to see if the BIOS needs to be updated since you did reset it. I am not sure how you went about reseting it, but if for example there was a BIOS update that handles being able to "communicate" with SSD drives, then perhaps that is what is going on here. From quick google searches, the status error code looks to be a problem with the BIOS communicating with the HDD, or in this case, the SSD.
