Hey friends! Very excited to join your forum and deepen my knowledge on computers. I just did my first build by myself. I got a new tower and transfered my old pc over to the new. Everything fires up great I just don't get any video display. I bought a new video card and that didn't fix the problem either. Any ideas? I can post pics if needed.

Hi and Welcome to Computer Help Forums.
If you transferred everything over correctly all should work.
I would make sure you have the case wires correct and recheck every connection.
Did you install the drivers for the new card?
What happens if you connect the monitor cable back to the Mobo onboard Graphics?

OK, I thought I did a ok job. One mistake my brother pointed out was the first time I put in the mobo I forgot to install the little gold casters that it sits on. He said that could fry it, but it's still working.

Case wires are great besides 1 cable. It's got 2 rows of 10 holes. Not a connection for it to be found. No drivers for new card. Old card doesnt work either though. And i'm not sure how I could connect to the mobos onboard graphics. I looked around for awhile but couldn't find anything.

How about giving us the case make and model number as well as the same for the motherboard and maybe we can find some answers for you.

Fractal Design R3 case and ASUS P5Q-E LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel motherboard. Anything else let me know. My Pah and brother in law are coming over soon to check it out. Will see what they can contribute.

Thanks for the replies so far! Giving me hope. : )

This user manual should be of some help to you. If you have not solved the problem you may want to start over and follow the instructions. (Thanks to DSTM for the file.) Just download the file and save it to your desktop. When you click on it there will be a pdf file. Just open that and the manual will appear.

The 20 Pin cable you mention does it happen to have a 4 pin cable attached to it as well?

If so that is your Motherboard power cable, no other cable should have 20 pins like that other than the motherboard, which obviously means it needs to be connected.

In section 2.2.1 of the manual BCB linked above, it will list the motherboard diagram showing where the 20+4 pin connector should go.
