The Worst Thing Windows XP Users Can Do Is Nothing, Tech Pundit Says
The struggle to move users from Windows XP to a newer operating system continues today with a new statement, this time coming from another tech expert who explains that all those still running this particular OS version need to upgrade as soon as possible.

While this is nothing new and basically everyone on Microsoft’s side have said almost the same thing over and over again, Robert Cioffi, CEO of Progressive, a company that provides migration assistance for those who are willing to move to either Windows 7 or Windows 8.1, says that sticking to such an old OS version affects productivity and leads to major security risks.

“The worst thing you can do is nothing,” says Progressive CEO Robert Cioffi. “If a system or network is compromised due to a security exploit, there is a price to consider in terms of remediation and potential damage to reputation.”

The problem doesn’t necessarily come down to end users who need to upgrade one or two computers in the household to a newer platform, but to companies that are operating hundreds or maybe thousands of systems still running Windows XP and very likely to become vulnerable to attacks once end of support comes.
