The Simpsons are coming to Minecraft on Xbox next month

Microsoft is preparing to bring The Simpsons to life in Minecraft next month. Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie will all be available as part of a downloadable skin pack in late February, alongside 19 other characters from the hit TV series. "We have an active community of more than 14 million die-hard Minecraft fans on Xbox Live enjoying the wide range of downloadable content on Xbox, and they have been clamoring for us to bring Simpsons characters to the game," says Xbox chief Phil Spencer.

Microsoft acquired Minecraft for $2.5 billion in September and has partnered with Twentieth Century Fox and Gracie Films to transform the characters of Springfield into textured cubic blocks. The Simpsons Minecraft pack follows a similar deal...
