Terminal service configuration

We would like to setup the terminal server on windwso 2003 DC,

any guildeline steps by stpe how to setup and confiure the terminal server ?

Lots of documentation on Microsoft web site. Be advised that it is
*VERY* strongly discouraged. Installing TS on a DC is a potential
serious security issue. Do you *really* want folks logging onto the key
to the entire domain???

can u provide me the link, do i need the key to activate the service. we are
the MS select customer.

Hi DD,

You can get Remote Desktop Session Host server (earlier called Terminal
Server) Step-by-Step Guide at:


Apart from that, if you need to install and setup any other Remote desktop
Services (earlier called Terminal Services) component , you can check:


But as Hank already mentioned, installing Remote Desktop Session Host server
(or Terminal Server) on a Domain Controller is not a supported scenario. The
reason being it's not good to give access to users on Domain Controller due
to security reasons.

Can you give example what are the security issues ? can the software
restriction reduce the security issue ?
