    Hi,

I have Windows 2003 terminal server / Office 2007 with 20 GB memory
and 8 CPUs and ~20 people using it. People are complaining about
performance problems when they are using complex word documents. But
windows task manager always indicates ~14GB of free memory, a 10GB
page file and never more than 20% CPU usage.

Is there are predefined limitation for the memory that can be
allocated by a single user / session.

    Is this a 32 bit (x86) or 64 bit (x64) system?

One thing I would start to look at is your physical disk performance. Use
perfmon to monitor Average Disk Read Queue Length, Average Disk Write Queue
Length and Current Disk Queue Length for the Physical Disk object. If any of
these are going significantly over 0.5, and peaks with points when your
system is not responsive, storage is likely the limitation you are facing.
Avg. Disk sec/Write and Avg. Disk sec/Read are useful to.

    Thanks,
    Costin
