System Restore Not Working

    Up top Hap "Run" and then "run program".

    Run, Run Program & then it shows "regedit.exe" & GO. I clicked GO.....should i observe something happening?

    Truthfully I have no clue I have never used it but I would think so. I am using it for other things. See if it made any difference.

    I appreciate your help Rich but D7 is for a techie which i'm not. Is there a means to uninstall it?

    Hey! I "think/hope" i have SR working!!! I disabled it, rebooted, enabled it, rebooted & made a new restore point, rebooted. To check for error messages or inconsistencies i checked, "Show More Restore Points" & "Scan For Affected Programs" & nothing showed up. Rich, i did the above as you suggested in an earlier post & received an error message. Now it's (hopefully) fine! Possibly i omitted a procedure & corrected it later on. Thank you very much for your assistance.

    Great news Hap. Check Programs and Features in Control Panel to remove D7 but I don't think it installs but is rather a portable .exe so it opens when you click on it. If you see it in Programs and Features then I am wrong but I don't think you will, then just uninstall it. That's one of those things but I just tried System restore in D7 and felt like nothing happened but I bet it did and fixed it. That is a great new tool I have been playing with from Fooli**** and has a lot of uses going forward. The name is funny as you can see it gets "blipped" and it is something the owners never thought about when they names the site.
