Let me preface this by saying that this has been going on for the last several months but has gotten increasingly worst, i list this under "monitor" problems but im convinced its my graphics card. anyways, ANY AND ALL help would be so appreciated as everyone that has tried to help has been stumped (which is why i humbly submit to the expertise of these forums). What started as my monitor (HP 2509m) every now and then crashing w/ the message your graphics display card has stopped working, the problem has been fixed. or something along those lines. well now whats happening is when someone is playing a game like world of warcraft or the witcher 2 the monitor will just go to sleep, and i will be unable to get it back on unless i hard restart my comp.
The strangest part is that sometimes u can play the game for 4 hours and sometimes itll crash 5 minutes into it... i have uninstalled/re installed drivers for card and hardware. i have updated them. i have watched the computer temp as well and everything is normal there too. its literally like someone just comes in and selects to sleep the computer only a certain games. i havent ever experienced it with games like shogun or starcraft.. which is why its so puzzling to me. im ASSUMING its my POS graphics card (gt 220) but i really have no idea.. id absolutely love some help solving this issue or just some closure on the matter would be nice too lol.

-I throw myself to the mercy of these forums-
    have at me..

Hi, and welcome to CHF. I think perhaps you may have answered your own question and the graphics card has become unreliable.
Have you tried removing the card, clean the contact strip with the blue part of a pencil eraser, then wipe it with a soft cloth, then reinsert the card, just in case it is a poor connection.
Any possibility you can borrow one from a friend?
If not, let us know the full make and model of the card, we may be able to find a reasonably priced replacement.

    Nev.

The Witcher : Assassins of Kings and World of Warcraft are much more hardware intensive games than Shogun: Total War or Starcraft. The system requirements
are much higher for Witcher and WOW. Can you post your complete computer spec's please? PSU (wattage and manufacturer) , CPU and CPU speed, amount of
RAM, video card model, available amount of video RAM and amount of free disk space available.
