Here in Sydney we got battered by a Strong Storm last night.
Where I live we got an inch of rain in 20 mins.
    Pelted down.
    Here are some slideshow images.

    Hi Dougie

    Amazing photos.
You do seem to get extremes.
I hope all is well back at the ranch ?

Good grief, DSTM, awesome pictures, thanks for sharing those. So interesting to see what is happening in other parts of the world. I haven't seen a real thunder-and-lightening storm for a long time.

Pretty impressive lightning photo's there, the guy who took most of them must have the right sort of fast operating camera to have captured as many as he did.
The train is amazing and obviously was either stopped or slow moving, if that tree had dropped on a fast moving train, the devastation would have been a lot worse.

Have to say they are some really big lightning strikes, I probably only see a couple thunderstorms a year, from my experience ours are more thunder than lightning, it can make you jump sometimes when you least expect it :), have to say that shot from above is pretty good, always like those.

Interesting covering your car in a hail storm, guess you get bigger hail stones than our puny rice grain sized ones :)
