Hi guys, I have a query regarding Cisco which has confused me.
Is cisco router ethernet port is connected to PC thru cross-over cable or straight thru ? I have seen packet tracer videos, in some a PC is connected via cross-over cable and some with straight.
Which one is correct method ? I know router is connected thru console cable but my confusion is related to above query.
    Please help me out. Thanks

The Cisco routers I have used required a crossover cable for the WAN side. I would use a crossover and if internet works then you know it's correct. If no internet access then use a straight-thru cable.

Some modern Ethernet equipment doesn't care if you're using a straight or cross-over cable. They figure it out automatically.
