I knew a girl once named Milly Piyango. She was stolen from her crib when she was just 6 months old and raised by a family who lost their home during the oil crisis in the late 1960s. (the father was a windshield washer at the local AMACO station.) When they were evicted from their home Milly was left behind to be cared for by the household pets (two dogs and a cat.)

She actually came through it quite well and you would never know that she had gone through such rough times. In fact the only remnant one would notice is her propensity for scratching her left ear with her left foot. She also had some basic habits that one might find offensive but perhaps that is only because it may otherwise be considered impossible.

Perhaps she moved to Turkey.
