Hi and Welcome to Computer Help Forums

OK If I understand you right your running MalwareBytes, Ad Aware, MSFT at the same time.

First I would remove Ad Aware as Malaware does the same job and more, more efficiently and more effectively, you could just use the windows uninstaller but I recommend you get a copy of Revo Uninstaller and use that as it will check for left over shared or system files that windows will leave behind.

    http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.html

Secondly I'd get rid of Reg Cure as well, Registry cleaners rarely do the job they are supposed to and quite often make things worse,

Thirdly I would run windows disk defragmenter

then finally I would run a scan with MalawareBytes and post the log file here ;)

Thank You. I will do this after work Today. I must ask my "work" as it was them that required the Ad Aware. Hopefully I can remove it, but they are wierd that way, as they do a system check for the programs that we must use. I'll let you know. I greatly appreciate your interest in helping me. :)

    Hi Addie

Unfortunately HijackThis is about as useful as a chocolate fireguard.
Let's get a much better idea of what's happening:

    • Download OTL to your desktop.
right click on the link and select 'Save Link/Target As'.

if you have problems, try this download link:
      OTL
    • Double click on the icon to run it. Make sure all other windows are closed and to let it run uninterrupted.
    • When the window appears, underneath Output at the top change it to Minimal Output.
    • Check the boxes beside LOP Check and Purity Check
    .

    .
    .

    • Now copy the lines in bold below.

      netsvcs
      msconfig
      %SYSTEMDRIVE%\*.*
      %systemroot%\system32\Spool\prtprocs\w32x86\*.dll
      %systemroot%\*. /mp /s
      %systemroot%\system32\*.dll /lockedfiles
      %systemroot%\Tasks\*.job /lockedfiles
      %systemroot%\system32\drivers\*.sys /lockedfiles
      %systemroot%\system32\*.exe /lockedfiles
      %systemroot%\System32\config\*.sav
      %PROGRAMFILES%\*
      %USERPROFILE%\..|smtmp;true;true;true /FP
      HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate\AU
      hklm\software\clients\startmenuinternet|command /rs
      hklm\software\clients\startmenuinternet|command /64 /rs
      CREATERESTOREPOINT

    • right click in the Custom Scans/Fixes window (under the blue bar) and choose Paste.

      .
      .
    • Click the Run Scan button.

    • Do not change any settings unless otherwise told to do so. The scan wont take long.
    • When the scan completes, it will open two notepad windows. OTL.Txt and Extras.Txt. These are saved in the same location as OTL.
    • Please copy (Edit->Select All, Edit->Copy) the contents of these files, one at a time, and post them with your next reply.

    Thanks

    Ok Addie
    No problem.

    That would help as well.

    Start MBAM
    Click on the Update tab

    .

    Click Check for Updates

The latest Database Version is: 7224

If it says that MBAM needs to close to update it... let it close and then restart.
    Then click the Scan button.

    Don't forget:
