sload.su come-ons

In answer to tyour previous question I have not gotten any more of the ' sload.su' messages and never did before now. Do not even know what they are.

I have just deleted all the FRST and fixlists I could find. I thought I hdd read the FRST64 and fixlist.txt must b in same folder for Farbar to run. Now these two are on the desktop and I do not see them elsewhere. Hope this is right. The program seems to make a Fixlog text doculment when it runs. Hope this is right. Maybe I misunderstood.

I just put the fixlog.txt and FRST64 in a FARBAR foler on the desktop and trying a new Fix. Nhe new scan makes a new Fixlog.txt in the same folder. I will next go back to page 1 and reread the whole thing.

 

I am practicing doing the whole thing over. When I think I know what I am doing I will post result.

 

I just ran the FRST64(7) program because my system is 64 bit. I followed all your instructons after deleting all the previous and now am sending you the FRST and Addition text files which do not have a .txt after them but it says they are text and look like text. I will send you these then follow your instructions and do
the FIX and then upload the Fixlog when it finished. It is getting a lot easier now and I am not as rushed. I believe the (7) means I have downloaded 7 of them and have no others so I may remove the (7) from the end of name so it reads FRST64 as did the original one. I hope this is finally satisfactory. Please let me know. Sorry it took so long.

UH OH.... I may have messed up. I cannot see the fixlist.txt anywhere. Maybe I deleted it somehow. What do I do to get it back or do I need to do the whole scan again? I am unsure where the fixlist came from.

SUCCESS ( I Hope)...Found a fixlist in your post #27 and downloaded. Then found it in C:\users'William1\downloads\fixlist and fixlist(1). I then copied fixlist(1) to desktop, it was named fixlist(2), retried the FRST64>FIX and it worked and made a Fixlog in a few minutes. I am uploading Fixlog now. See next post.

Its none of my business but somewhere i remember seeing a comment about delays and England time being different and I wondered if you might be in England.
I am happy to finally have a program I can scan with even if it took a lot of learning and even if I do not really understand it. I always HAD lots of programs for protection but never used them much. I do not think I ever used Malwarebites but once or twice if that. But there sems to be a lot more harmful stuff around now than I recall in the past.
