Servers missing in terminal services manager

Discussion in 'Windows Home Server' started by Tech_Nick22, Oct 1, 2009.

    I have 6 W2K SP4 terminal servers.
I am no longer able to see the TS's within terminal services manager.

I only see the actual TS i am on, plus a few other W2K servers (none of
which are the 6 TS's i am referring to)

The remote registry service is started on all

How do i go about getting them back.

    Thanks
    Nick

Both these keys do not even exist on my servers.

    Are they required?

I never had problems with them showing up before in terminal services manager

    Thanks

Well they are not required but I have seen cases where just by adding
the TSAdvertise one the issue was fixed.

  7. Are these boxes all in the same version?
Did you try stopping/starting the computer browser service?
Do you have File/Print Sharing enabled on these boxes? Most tools require
    that installed to work.

  10. All I could recommend it was already mentioned. :-(
One thing left is to probably check the registry of a machine that works and
compare to the ones that do not work. If you do not have a working one I
would install 2000 TS on a VM just to test and then compare that one to the
    other ones.

"WebTS: TSWeb the way it should have been done since day one"

    Citrix CTP
    Provision Networks VIP

Make sure you download our free guide about Terminal Services.
An A to Z guide, explaining everything, from setting it up to enabling
group policies. A must read and again, completely free.
