    Hi,

I have a number of servers on which I want to disable the server service.
They do not host any file shares but do run web services. Is anything else
affected by the server service other than file sharing?

    Thx

Another way is to uncheck the "File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft
Networks" in the NIC properties. If it's not bound to that, it won't run.

Run shared printers through any of those servers? Server service will
    also turn that off.
