Server 2008 Reliability and Performance Monitor

    Why would the checkbox for "Show Descriptions" for the counters be greyed out?

    I want some descriptions on some specific counters, in Server 2003 I never
    had a problem getting the descriptions, but I have a Win2K8 server that has
    that checkbox greyed out.

    Why? How do I fix that?
