server 2008 R2 backup 81000101

Hi all,

Can someone please tell me what I need to do to get the windows backup
functioning with Server 2008 R2? I continue to receive this message: Error
81000101. I have MOSS 2007 and I have heard that I could disable the
sqlwriter service, and I have, but there is something blocking a successful
backup now. Any ideas?

 

Here is the exact message in the event logs:

The backup operation that started at '‎2009‎-‎05‎-‎25T13:38:33.862000000Z'
has failed because the Volume Shadow Copy Service operation to create a
shadow copy of the volumes being backed up failed with following error code
'2155348001'. Please review the event details for a solution, and then rerun
the backup operation once the issue is resolved.

How in the WORLD do i download the hotfix? It only allows the 32 bit Vista
fix.
