Server 2008 instead of SBS2008

Hi

I have always been a fan of Standard 2003/2008 Domains and not the SBS
version. But SBS2008 keeps coming up here and there. Could anyone please
explain what a company will lose in features/possibilities if chosing
SBS2008 instead of Standard 2008.

- a SBS2008 cannot make a trust to another DC, right?
what else?

is there a whitepaper on how to migrate from Standard 2003 domain to
SBS2008?

Not sure what you mean as you don't set up a trust to a DC regardless. In
SBS you can't set up trusts to other *domains*.
The SBS box must hold all FSMO roles.

However, you can have additional DCs, additional AD sites, etc.

Well -

SBS2008 doesn't run W2008 R2 and you can't upgrade to it (they may release a
new version of SBS for that)
SBS2008 doesn't run Enterprise (but eh ...not a huge deal)
You can't "break out" the bundled bits of SBS, such as Exchange, to run them
on another server (although if you get SBS2008 Standard it comes with a
license to run SQL and a license to run W2008 Std on a separate server).

You do get Exchange 2007 Standard, Remote Web Workplace, and other cool
stuff. I'm a fan. Make sure you have some good robust hardware to run this
on.

There's one for SBS2003 to SBS2008 and you can ignore the SBS2003 bits.
