Is there a search engine without all these search suggestions and popup ads or that REALLY CAN be turned off if you choose. Used to like Google. Now its a nuisance. I set to NOT give suggestions. SO it does not but then a drop down menu of other stuff appears. Prefer simple old fashioned uncluttered searching if it is even possible. Used to be, you could turn things on and off and they would be off without substituting other unwanted things that could not be turned off. Probably only in my dreams will computing be bearable again.

It is now open source, BGBG and I use it in conjunction with Ad Block.
Ad Muncher is actually a software program that installs to your computer and works with any browser.
Ad Block Plus is a browser extension.

Although I like Ad Block very much, Ad Muncher has proven to be the better of the two.
The link for Ad Muncher was given in Post #2 by Dougie, if you want to try it.
