Oh oh, those little 'roof rabbits' have obviously been up to mischief because I can't seem to get a link to work, gunner. Could you please try again? :)

(p.s. Our Doug is 'under the weather' but know he'd enjoy it when he gets back).

What you are going to need to do, Skip, is save the image to your computer and then upload it to photobucket and then to here. Sorry about that IMG code will not work from everywhere.

This is one of those Apples and Oranges things. When I open your post as if I were going to edit it, I can see the code that you posted. However while it may work for you on your own PC it will not show up for anyone else.

Copy and paste the photo to your computer in a different location such as your desktop. Then upload it to photobucket the way you normally would and have. Finally once it is in photobucket then copy THAT code to a post.

This is what I see when I edit your post.(the red underline is from me) because it it your account it appears as a picture but only on your computer because you are logged into the account that it refers to.

Nope! When I convert that to a link I get a yahoo page to log into your account to see the page. Of course I can't do that. You get the link that Match had in his post.

I will look at the rest of your post later or tomorrow if no one else does. World Series now Yanks 4 Phillies 1 - top of the 4th! :D

Hi :) I do this all the time lol

right a link is a set of directions to somewhere so imagine your sitting in a bar and you tell someone the directions to a great picture hanging on your lounge wall

out the bar, down the road, round the corner, down another road, through my front door and into my lounge

now obviously without your front door key this ain't going to work, and you ain't going to give a stranger the key to your door.

but for you this works great as you have a door key.

the address to this thread is at the top of the screen :- Computer Help Forums » Community Lounge » General Chat » Sand storm--iraq

if you start at the front page (http://computerhelpforums.net/) and follow the directions you will end up here. :)

Hi Gunnner. You have to post Images in a series of steps.
Miss one step, and you cant post images successfully.
Best to write down the correct steps, for reference.
Shortcuts, and Copy and Paste, don't work in this instance.
You want the correct method,I can post if you are not clear,on how to.
This is what Match is saying.

Dougie is quite correct and if you follow that method you should be able to post a picture. This is another way to post a picture that you have found on the web. If the picture is a separate jpeg or png on a website you can right click on the picture.

One of the choices will be "save image as" select a name for it in the box that appears (it will probably already be named with some numerical code but you can change it so you will remember it) and a destination such as your desktop. It should already give a file type such as "JPEG image"

Once you have saved it, it then it becomes yours on your computer and you can treat it like any of the other photos that you have uploaded to Computer Help Forums.

Change the File type to "JPEG", and try again,Gunnner.

    Open Paint
Click on "File" at the top.
    Select "OPEN"
Find the Image, where you have it.
    Select "OPEN"
    Image will appear in Paint.
    Go to "FILE" again
    Select "Save As"
AT the bottom of the window, under " Save as Type" Click on the "Down Arrow" far right.
From the Drop Down Menu,Highlight "JPEG"
    Click the "Save" Button.
Find new Image type "JPEG" and try and upload again.
    HTH.
