I have recently started having problems logging into my favorite online game. I keep getting the error "server at kbam is taking too long to respond". I contacted kbam but they have had no other users with this complaint so it must be with my router. I have no idea how to adjust my router to allow more time to connect with the server. I use a Smart Bro pocket wfi which connects through the local cell phone tower with Smart Bro system. I am the only one using it so their isn't big usage demand on it. Below is system info in case you need it. Thanks for any help you can give me on this. I have been playing the game for a couple weeks now and never had this problem before.

Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate, Service Pack 1, 32 bit

You don`t say what browser you are using, try using Firefox if not using, good idea anyway to have two browsers to test things such as your problem...just make the one you like as default.also go here and do a speed test, might just be that ?? http://www.speedtest.net/....also post link to site so can check is just not you.

I am using Firefox most of the time but I also have Chrome. It's the same with both browsers every time I try to pull up www.kabam.com/games/kingdoms-of-camelot, it just won't do it. As far as doing a speed test, I will. But I will say that Firefox takes 23 seconds from the time I hit enter to come back and tell me that the server is too slow or sometimes it comes back with "this site is not available".
Let me ask you this, does my service provider, in this case Smart Bro, have the ability to block me from a certain site if they find I am spending a lot of hours on that site? I am just wondering because I do have unlimited access to the internet and I do spend a lot of hours on line, if they wanted to block me I think they can. I live in a remote area, an island, and there is only one cell tower here. Thanks

I tried the speed test at the site you gave me but as it turns out I got the same error message "The server at www.speedtest.net is taking too long to respond". Go figure. I could not access the site.

I figured out the problem apparently. I did a clean with Privacy Mantra and after that I was able to log on the app no problem, so thanks all.

Oops, spoke too soon. I still have the problem, especially at night. So this makes me wonder if it isn't a problem with Smart Bro being especially slow to send the ping at night. But the error "the server at Kabam.com is taking too long to respond" seems to indicate a problem on the site's end not mine.

Speed is not good. Ping is also very high. Lower ping is better. Test again at night. Do you know the requirements to play this game?

I do not know requirements but I usually play during the day here where I live and have not had that much trouble except lately. Right now it is 8:20 am local time August 5th or 20:20 utc and I'm having the same problem. Kabam insists that they are not receiving complaints about this from other players. Yet, when I get the error it is always "the server at www.kabam.com is taking too long. I keep cleaning my caches with Privacy Mantra and running Malwarebytes and Avast to keep my system healthy but the problem persists. I have looked on the site for the requirements but found none so I put up a question about them on the forum. I can connect to the site but cannot pull up the game and at that point I get the error. I have no problem connecting to any other site I want. Thanks.

Sir; re the speed of pc. How can I fix the speed problem I have? I know I can buy an app to do that for me but I do not own a credit card and have no way to pay for it. Is there any free apps for hapless folks like me? Thanks

    speedtest.net checks internet speed.

You are using some Virtual Private Network (VPN) service or proxy that is messing with your internet speed. Am i right? Disable it.

The result of your speed test is pretty bad. What speed are you paying for?

Considering the present speed is nearly as slow as the old dial up was, yet you say it has only been bad recently, I am wondering if you have exceeded your bandwidth limit and the company has capped your speeds. Worth looking into, do you know what bandwidth you are allowed on that service?

All are worth looking into and I will. Not sure that my ISP will cooperate but I will try. Its very difficult to speak to a tech there and it takes hours to get through their layers of preset steps one must go through first. Usually the girl I speak to has no idea what I am talking about and then there is the understanding english thing involved.
Yes, I was using Spotflux Lite but I uninstalled that a day ago thinking that it might be the problem but all day yesterday I could not pull up the game. The site I can connect to but the particular game I cannot. So, I am wondering why is it that I can play another game on the site and yet be unable to play the other that I usually play. I'm thinking there is a problem at Kabam also.
I don't know what bandwidth I am paying for or if I have a cap at SmartBro but I will have my wife ask those questions when she travels to Cagayan De Oro in a few days. Thanks

Yes, it is good. At this speed you should be able to play the game. Can you play game now?
Test speed again specially when you are unable to play the game.
Speed test results you posted on Monday was not your actual speed as you were using Spotflux Lite when you tested.

This is the first time in days I have been able to pull up this site. I kept getting the same error here to. Also, I have not been able to pull up the speed test site but the last time I was able to do the test it was Ping 166, Dwnload, 1.01, upload 0.54, Jitter 9 ms.
At one time I was unable to finish the test, it would only run the ping and dwnload and then stopped.
I really think the problem is with my ISP so there isn't much anyone can do. Thanks.

It sounds to me as if the problem lies with your ISP, too.

I would agree there should not be that amount of fluctuation in speeds.
