Roles Services Reset, corrupted files?

Hello,

We're having a bit of trouble with our Windows server 2008. It has a role
error, that’s preventing me from adding, removing or accessing server roles.
When you open Server Manager it tries to refresh the roles service. It
reports the following error:

Unexpected error refreshing server manager: no signature was present in the
subject. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x800B0100)

I downloaded and ran the System Update Readiness Tool to determine the cause
of the error. It appears there have been updates failed to be installed or
restarted after installation.
But did that several times with a few KB updates and still cannot solve the
role error.

Also ran the following command on prompt (sfc /scannow):

and the results were:
Beginning verification phase of system scan.
Verification 100% complete.
Windows REsource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some
of them. Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log

It seems to have issue with KB961371 update. I tried the above steps
repeatedly and still will not resolve the problem.

Run checksur on the machine:
967353 Description of the pre-scan version of System Update Readiness Tool
for Windows Vista and for Windows Server 2008


Grab the checksur log referenced in article, that should have the list of
files that are corrupted or missing.
If you have another machine see if the identical files are present on that
machine and use them to replace the reported missing or corrupted files.
