What do I have to look out for when I rename a 2008 Terminal Server? I know
I have to be sure any .rdp files that use the name get changed but is there
    anything else?

    --
    Thanks!

Any use of the computer's name in other machines' security groups may need
to be updated. For example, on the License Servers, there's the Terminal
    Server Computers group.

I didn't think of this. I have a Terminal Servers Computers group in AD but
I can't find it on the License server. Where is it there?

The security group isn't used if you haven't set a group policy. See

I found it. Is there a proper way to point the TS License Server Role to
    the new computer name?

Most likely Active Directory will handle the rename transparently, but if
not, you can remove the old name from the group and add the new name.

I thought I read somewhere that once you change the name, clients can no
longer connect because the licenses don't get issued. At that point
    Microsoft needs to get involved.

No, I don't know of any reason that would happen.
