Removing Windows Search 4.0 from a 2003 server

Discussion in 'Windows Home Server' started by Jim in Cleveland, Sep 1, 2009.

  1. I would like to remove Windows Search 4.0 from a Wondows 2003 server. We're
a bit tight on disk space on the C partition and I've noticed that in the
    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Search
directory, I can get back over 500MB of space if I can eliminate this search
directory. My question: If I remove the Windows Search 4.0 program, will it
remove this data or do I have to remove it manually?
