There is Youtube downloader which will cover live streaming, you just input the URL the stream is coming from. However I found recently that even a program update was including a lot too much junkware so abandoned it in favour of AVC (Any Video Converter).
Any small amount of junkware on the initial download is easier to circumvent, and from then on you just do the same thing, tell it where the source is via the URL, then after it has downloaded and recorded, you have a much greater number of available formats you can then store the video in.
Best of luck for you Tony.

Thanks Nev. I ended up downloading a trial product from Movavi. It was a free 7-day trial. Thought that would work and it did (kinda). What I really didn't like about this "trial" version was that

    1) It only let you record 2 minutes - they didn't tell you that until you went to use it.
    2) The recording has their logo, name of the product, and a note that it's a trial showing up in the video.

I really didn't care for any of that.
