    hi. first of all sorry for the bad english. i have problem with lag spikes just like "
    "Random Computer Lag Spikes" hyper"

    and i had this problem 1 years ago but my friend fixed it in that moment. i don't know how. and now i am sick of it.
    it was all right before i format computer after formating.... it appeared. even during the formating it was lagging. i tried many scanning programm but it doesn't helped
    i read that "HYPER" fixed that problem after he uninstaled McAfee.
    unfortunatly i don't even installed any programm and mcafee. but it still have spike lags cpu increase 2%-60-80% every few minutes and just like hyper's
    pls help

    When your cpu spikes how many applications have you got running?

    What sort of a computer and what are the specs?

    I am thinking McAfee is causing some of these issues.
    What malware programs besides McAfee have you installed?

    Open Task Manager click the Resource Manager button. In the next window click the memory tab to see what is using your memory.

    Hi Tsogoo,

    Please click on Start > All Programs > Accessories > and then right click on Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator.
    In the command window type msconfig and hit the Enter key. This will open the System Configuration window. Click on the
    Services tab at the top and select Hide all Microsoft Services. Let us know what services you have that are still showing.
    We are checking to see what is running in the background that doesn't necessarily need to be running.

    Looking at those screen shots you have a number of instances of the same .exe
    Malware can hide in the registry like the conficker worm and exhibit as .exe's
    The entries that aroused my suspicion are the number of svchost.exe's present.
    I hope one of our Malware experts has a look at your screen shots and gives their opinion.

    I won't use Google Chrome for the reason shown in those pics.
    It starts a new process for every tab that is opened, plus extra processes as well.
    It can cause slowdowns on some systems.

    Personally i'd go for Firefox or Opera as a browser.

    Let's take a look and try and get a better picture of what's happening.

    • Download OTL to your desktop.
      right click on the link and select 'Save Link/Target As'.

      if you have problems, try this download link:

    • Double click on the icon to run it. Make sure all other windows are closed and to let it run uninterrupted.
