@Tony D ..I was reading back on the posts, first discussing this Cloning Software, and I came across where you had mentioned "I prefer the Image/Restore method over the Clone method! because it's harder to make a mistake. You don't want to screw up and clone the empty drive onto a working drive" ..Could that be the Problem! ...because I have Been attempting to CLONE! ..Not Image/Restore!

Maybe you are trying to clone, I don't know. You can clone from drive to drive. If you want to go the Image/Restore route, you need the intermediatory device. Earlier it looked like you were using that process. Remember we saw the 96 GB file? That would have been the image file. Problem was that you made the file onto the new drive. That won't work because you can't restore the file onto the drive it's residing on .

I don't know what you're selecting or clicking on. Write down the steps you're taking and maybe we can figure it out.

After attempting the Cloning procedure for several days with Macrium, I have decided to Purchase a new Hard drive that's Pre Loaded with the windows 7 Pro OS onboard, or I may just buy that refurbished Optiplex 780 PC! ..Anyway the procedure especially with the Partitions resizing, is a little beyond my capabilities right now, as I am taking care of a Mother with Dementia! and it's a 24 Hour a day job itself! ...I want to thank, Tony D, plodr, & IJAC. for all your help with this involved issue! ...John

I'm sorry to hear about your mother. I know a few people who have had to deal with this. Watch your own health both physical and mental because if something happens to you, it won't help your mother.
