    Update.
Rich was unable to carry out the repairs to his room mates computer and they have taken it to their Computer Shop.
This Computer evidently is messed up real bad, Rich says.
I asked Rich to update when he knows more.

He took the Pc to the computer shop tuesday afternoon. I tried my best and did everything I knew including the advice given here. He really messed it up and I think that his drive was close to being full, when he tried to load more programs or maybe it pooched. I am not sure. I will keep you posted.

Update, well he got his Pc back and apparently the problem was a really bad virus. They had to wipe his drive clean, but, it seems to be working fine now. I have told him time and time again BE careful what you download but, he doesn't listen, so, it costs him money. I tried everything I knew, plus the advice given here to no avail. If I could have gotten his Pc to boot in safe mode, I may have been able to get rid of that virus. Anyways I tried and I wish to thank everyone for your advice. Maybe this idiot will listen to me in the future.

Thanks for the update Rich. Yes he will learn if it keeps costing your room mate money.
    I am really confused.
If it was only a bad virus that would not stop you from getting into Safe Mode.:confused-92:
Anyway it's fixed now, that's the main thing.
Hope he thanked you for all your hard work,Rich.

Not really Dougie he doesn't have the manners God gave geese and he owes me some money as well. I spent hours working on that problem and I told him before, nothing is for free. He always gets me to bail him out after I give him good advice, he thinks he knows everything about computers yet he doesn't know anything. Maybe he will listen for now on, but, I doubt it. If he wants me to work on his machine then he has to pay.
