Just as a heads up, Firefox version 30 is now mainstream. Earlier this morning I checked for updates and was rewarded with the download and install. I then went out for the rest of the day, however we will see how it goes on from now.

I know of at least two who decided to try version 30 while it was still in BETA and reported better results after similar problems to what we have had with 29.0.1.
Early days of course but with one hand firmly gripping a pencil, (touching wood) it seems OK. Memory use is still about the same as always though, and do wish Mozilla would do something about that.

OK I'll play with it then. Does it still try to look like Chrome?

    Hi

    My Final Analysis of Firefox

Just in the intrest of fairness i did install firefox 30 with the addon Classic theme restorer as seen here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-to-make-new-firefox-look-like-old-firefox

I was at first impressed and knew i would be able to get firefox to look the way I wanted it using above addon.. ok so that was a bonus ok 1 problem solved and sure it was ..so if appearance is your only issue that addon should sort that out.

Ok on to the part that was not so good I could Instantly feel a strain on my system with this firefox installed which could of been there before in version 29 and 29.01 but I could not get over the chrome look so never noticed anything else now this could however be because of my crap cheap branded pc either way I uninstalled it right away as the tight pulling sluggish feel of browsing was so bad and for me Pale moon is light , fast and just goes not sluggish feel or anything so pale moon meets my needs I just cannot have firefox on my system as it just hates it personally Firefox should be renamed Mozilla FoxChrome better suited to it but that is my own thoughts you have to make your own.

Hope if nothing else I have made you think and most of all Happy Surfing to Everyone

Thanks so much for that Joker, I know exactly what you mean and the light feeling is what I love about Pale Moon. Years ago when I switched to FF it was because it was a streamlined trim browser faster than IE with all kinds of options for change including the gui and all the many addons. That feeling certainly has been missing for some time I and while I loved the look of it up until the time it decided to become Chrome, that slim lined trim feel has been gone a long time IMHO.

Rich I think before it was developer issues as mozilla got there back up with there constant updates that they could not keep up so lots just stopped developing but this IMHO is something else Firefox 28 will remain the last known actual real firefox version by Mozilla now they are just a greedy little company who is selling out to the major companies which is just my opinion you wait and see next you will hear mozilla has partnered with google and together will attempt world domination it not totally unthinkable at this time just sad really it is anyway enough of that just the reasons why I am glad to be shot of Firefox now as the saying goes onwards and upwards

I think you are right Joker. I had moved to Chrome for a while and when I came back earlier this year to FF, everything was Yahoo and FF and that was getting in the way of a lot of things I was trying to do.
Sooner or later greed ruins all good software.

That's why I came 360 degree full circle back to IE. Sooner or later in time these companies sell out on one form or another just like most Anti-Virus or Spyware apps. At least with IE it still remains *only" the one monopoly is started as. Plus, IE 11 just smokes Firefix (I call it that lol) with speed.

Now that IE takes LastPass I may finally go back to IE because I am still having some issues on Pale Moon where the fact Adobe doesn't work on it is causing some things not to open. It seems my solution, PDF viewer does not work on all instances of pdf files in Pale Moon and this is starting to get real old! The other thing I don't like is many of the addons I use insist on being in startup in IE which does not happen in Chrome or Firefox.

Rich I would go back to Firefox if it was slimmer and faster and used less memory (on average). I do realize that IE is targeted most but I try to use good practices, and safe surfing habits. IE is more secure than it was before, and with the newer MS operating systems even more secure. Though, not as secure as Firefox especially with Firefox add-ons, but those very add- ons at times depending on the page you are visiting and the code on it are themselves a security risk, and then the functionality issues with too many add-ons. There may be a day when I go back but for now IE is wickedly fast and does it's job.

I understand completely and the instability of all the third party browsers will probably send me back as I said before. When the 2 main browsers were IE and Netscape I was an IR user.
