Problems with Firefox any one?

I don't think it is broken, the thread was basically finished I think anyway.

Kind of strangely enough, after a couple of weeks of crashes and just plain old stopped workings, with up till recently at least one a day, since posting about it, the last few days it has been fine with no trouble at all. Perhaps threatening it with installing Pale Moon has made it behave. I have no other explanations.

If I were you I would give up that ghost but with that being said and I have been giving this some thought if you are in the Google Chrome camp of browsers and there are many out there then the change that Mozilla has implemented will be a welcome change on the other hand if you are of the hardened Firefox user then Pale Moon is for you as you will find out if you visit there page Pale Moon

Mozilla has changed direction to try and steal some of Google Chromes users or lure them back but in doing so has IMHO betrayed the things which even now says it stands for which for me makes them stand for nothing at all but there own personal agenda's which in todays world is possibly no big thing as everyone is doing it but is it right and do I really want to endorse such behavior.

Well I just hit a major issue that may well finish this Pale Moon for me. I cannot print anything on my Windows 8 pc using this browser, no matter what I do. Select "print preview" and it freezes up and goes away...choose print and same thing eventually whole screen goes white.
If I use the "print" cue on the pages it opens Downloads and wants me to name and save the file, print is not an option. I will wait until the AM when I get to my main desktop which is Windows 7 to see which way the problem is and of course Chrome and Firefox print fine. I have reinstalled Flash and Java as well.

 

Well I just realize it has something to do with my Brokerage site as I can print other sites...that's why I checked Flash Player and Java.

Long way round I know, but when on the page you want to print, and running W7, use snippy to get a screen shot, save as a JPG to a suitable folder, then print that. If not snippy, use the print screen key then paste to wherever you want, Paint as an example, to print from.

True Nev but I could just save it as a file and then print the file too. I want to print from the browser and I can see the issue is an addon and specifically Adobe Reader. I have to find a way to get that in there or similar.

 

Rich, Have you tried Foxit Reader instead of Adobe?

 

Solved I added "PDF Viewer" to Pale Moon issue solved!
I love my Charles Schwab site but it is murder on browsers!

 

Thanks Bill I had just tried that and it doesn't exist either for Pale Moon.

 

Rich yeah was thinking that your brokerage site does seem a pain in your know what, but glad you found away round it.

as I am using windows 7 and the issues you were having were on windows 8 plus I do not use that site so i cannot really fully comment only just to say i used addon Print Edit 12.6 on both firefox and Pale Moon with no issues.

But glad you got it to work for you.

Right Joker and as it turned out though it didn't work on Windows 7 either but I finally realized, like "a light dawned" it was trying to create the pdf that was not native to Pale Moon. TG there was another reader it did take because I print from that site quite often and when I am done with this trial I will most likely remove FF for good as there are just way too many issues with that one whereas Chrome is really normally quite sturdy and better at solving problems. I just hate what Chrome looks like is all. And I must admit I am nto thrilled to be depending on Google either because of how they make money.

just a thought regarding pale moon i assume you went into Tools>Options>Applications Tab and looking down list fixing you file types with the program you want to use and that nothing has got mixed up
