Problems installing Groupwise on Windows 2008 cluster

Discussion in 'Windows Home Server' started by paulreims@gmail.com, Apr 22, 2009.

  1. Hello,
we are trying to install Groupwise Server(latest version) on a Windows
2008 cluster. When we install it as normal application, it works, but
as soon as we install it as cluster ressource, it won't start. The
only message that we are getting in then event log is:

    Error,3/30/2009 1:36:42 PM,Microsoft-Windows-FailoverClustering,
    1042,Generic Service Resource,Generic service 'dom-hp1 MTA' failed
with error '1'. Please examine the application event log.

We tried to use some of the sysinterals tools, but did not find any
indication. We simply see that during the startup of the cluster
ressource, it suddenly stops without any error.

Anyone already installed Groupwise on a Windows 2008 cluster and
eventually was able to solve the issue or someone has an idea about
    how tol solve the problem?

    Best regards
