Hello everyone at computehelpforums.net . I need help with a problem im running into. I'm currently running windows 7 32bit on my pc. I've been trying to install ubuntu 11.10 on it also running next to windows. I've got it installed but have been running into problems that i think might have to due with me having a cheap dvd drive that decides to take breaks while its reading. So i decided i would try to install the OS using my 16 GB PNY flashdrive. I extracted the iso for ubuntu to the usb stick using Unetbootin, but upon reboot i can not find the flashdrive in my bios boot sequence. The options it gives me to boot from are.
    Floppy
    LS120
    Hard Disk
    CDROM
    Zip100
    USB-FDD
    USB-ZIP/LS
    USB-CDROM
    Legacy LAN.
If anyone knows how I can fix this I would greatly appreciate the help.

    Hi and welcome to CHF.
The flash drive being connected to a USB port, it will not show in the BIOS directly as a drive, have you tried the three USB options available I assume that perhaps it may be the USB-FDD. If not try the other USB options.

Hi and thanks for the help.
I did try all of those options, and then had an epiphany.
The whole time i had been looking at the boot devices but didnt bother to look in the Hard Drive boot order, and there it was.
Sorry for the late reply I've been messing around with ubuntu since then.
Thanks So much for the help

Thanks for the update and glad you found where it had hidden itself.
