In my experience, all the Zalman cooling fins are very sharp and can easily draw blood. Cooler works great but be careful.

Stay away from Corsair as today they are mostly CWT made and not nearly the old quality as when Seasonic made them.
Seasonic and XFX are the best today!

I would like to caution you about the FX 9350 cpu suggested as it is a 220 watt cpu and frankly is not selling well because it is little different from the FX 8350 which with a slight overclocking that would not affect wear would actually be equal to the FX 9350 but with half the power usage. The 220 watt cpu will be much noisier and generate way more heat. Now I am not suggesting you overclock anything and you should be aware that doing so will void mfgr warranties but just to point out that there is little difference between the two cpus so you would gain little from that purchase and add some problems besides, but the FX 8350 would be a better purchase is all.

With Respect Rich I completely disagree with the above Post.
The FX9370 will reach 4.7GHZ just with turbo boost and no user overclocking.
It is a dam good CPU.

I was looking at getting the 9370, though coming off of all these computer problems I was thinking about maybe going with the 8370 just because of the 125W TPD, because the performance gap between them is apparently quite small, and the 8370 runs cooler. My case has decent airflow, but it's not a standard C70 case (I replaced the stock panel window with the ugly fan mounts and grille with a solid, smoked window).

I won't be overclocking and plan to use the CPU stock. If I go with a 9370, I wouldn't even use turbo because of the added heat and my desire to stick with air cooling. But if I went with the 8370 I'd want to use turbo just to make up the gap between their stock performance.

That's your money your choice. I have an FX8370 and know how good the performance is.
    Best by test I say.
Good for mid range games but high end games you want a cpu that excells.
So what if you run water cooling, it's cheap.
Take no notice of temp in image as I just turned the PC on to take snap shot.
I am not going to argue till the cows come home.
    Proof I have an FX8370.
