please insert system diskette

    i just brought a new hd a 120 gb one, and now when i try to install xp it keeps going through the whole installing windows xp them again and again, when i take the disk out it says please insert system diskette. i have checked the bios and chngd it so that it will boot from c drive after i think i have installed win xp but it still keeps giving me the same message. i am stuck and confused! HELP

    Did you change the jumper on the back of the drive before you installed it?
    If you have 2 hard drives, the original and the new one, then you need to set the jumper on the new one to master and the old one to slave. If you only have one drive then make sure it is set to master.

    how do i set it to master i am only using one harddrive and i noticed last night that it isnt set to master on my computer BIOS screen.
