I need some help here as I am not a Gamer.
My better half has a Play Station 2 and games are not made for it now.
Wants to play latest games by herself, not on line.
Which would suit her better? Play Station 3 or an XBox?
Which one is the most user friendly?
    Thanks. :smile2:

And BeeCeeBee is obviously out to win the most informative post award this year :shh: unfortunatly I think that post has just won him the least informative post award

I think it comes down to what games you like playing and what games are available,
interesting that the WII is omitted, or on the other hand you could be like my Brother-In_law and just have all three.

Be careful about the X Box, you just might get the one mentioned at the end of this sketch.

That sketch is hilarious, Nev. :jump:

I know there is no easy answer to my question.
Wanted to get " ALIENS: COLONIAL MARINES" and will this game play on either player?
If so which player/controls is best suited for this type of game? :smile2:

I would say PS3 my brother would say Xbox 360, either will do fine as they both output 1080p (though personally I always find the PS3 image quality slightly better) as will the controllers as they both have the same amount of buttons in pretty much similar places, though coming from a PS2 it will be easier to move to the PS3 based on the controller being the same just wireless.
The PS3 would also edge it on the fact it has Blu-ray, came in handy when you couldn't afford those £200-£300 Blu-ray players when they first came out.

As a fact of reliability (though the Xbox has improved significantly) I still have the original PS3 from 2007, so over 5 years and not a single fault (touch wood nothing happens when I get AC3 next week :)), my brother has had three Xbox 360s over that same time frame, the first two both failed with the infamous RROD (red ring of death) after about 18 months, he's had the current one about 2 years now.

Thanks Woody. PS3 looks the way to go as it has Blu-ray as well.
Seems from what you say the PS3 is the more reliable.
