Thanks for that, unfortunately I don't know if that may be possible with Photofiltre.
However, I did find a nice enough and different free one to put this tram onto.

Last one for today, I realised a bit of perspective in the framing would enhance things a little with this one.

Pretty good,Nev considering Photofiltre hasn't got many bells and whistles.
Perspective Framing makes a lot of difference doesn't it.
    Well done.

Funnily enough, I have a sort of watered down version of Photoshop which was one of those bundled softwares when I got this Packard Bell W 7 machine, it is PSE Photoshop Elements 8. Trouble is I haven't spent any time trying to get my head round what it can or cannot do, I also downloaded and installed the open source Gimp much earlier this year, but again just not had time to really get into them yet. Considering Photofiltre has done a tremendous amount in simpler things, I have over time got quite used to what it can do. So a case of sticking with what you know.

As for the out of bounds stuff, I need to trawl through the hundreds of photo's I have that may be used.

Like your choices, Bob - and Doug has far, far surpassed anything I could ever do with graphics - yup, really beautiful creations.

And you've doing darn well too, Nev ... and I can understand why PhotoFiltre is preferred over Photo Shop or Photoshop Elements, too ... easier to understand and use and while it doesn't have quite all the 'bells and whistles', it's free - huge happy smile!

Nev ... for various backgrounds, including 'textures' such as creased silk or crumpled paper ... try a freebie site, usually found under 'freebies scrapbooking' via Google as there are so, so many wonderful people out there that are ever so happy to share their free creations.

I use hundreds of various backgrounds but sites like above are also super-duper handy for getting free 'elements', such as flowers and trees and other objects - all with a psp format and transparent backgrounds - it really does save quite a bit of time.

From what little I know, it seems that photoshop is really the way to go if you want to get the quality.

    Good one there, Doug!

Yes, ideally it would be lovely for everyone interested in graphics to have a copy of Photoshop, BeeCeeBee ... but I'm already cringing thinking of just a couple years from now what a student entering University to study graphics is going to need. A super-duper computer, Photoshop for sure and on and on it goes ... should we start a lottery pool? - grin!

Hi Mara. I seem to recall you have Photoshop Elements 8. This is a good starting block into Graphics.
A steep learning curve however if you keep at it eventually it becomes a lot of fun to create your imaginations.
At the moment I am creating my own Abstract backgrounds with CS5.
You can create the same with Elements as well, then save the backgrounds for later.
Gives one a great deal of satisfaction to say "I made that Background"
You can make some amazing backgrounds.

Hum, I was sure it was two dolphins--- or was it two cows?
However it is nice to see that a bull and a dolphin can be friendly.

Obviously not my own photo, but a well known and copyright free funny, enhanced a little.

I think I saw some very cute ducks 'out of frame' somewhere that you made, Nev?

You're right about Photoshop Elements, Doug - it does all sorts of wonderful things but, as you said, it too has a learning curve but luckily is more intuitive to use than Photoshop itself.

I mainly use Elements for easily making backgrounds transparent behind objects but for me, Corel is so much easier to use - unfortunately I don't get to play with graphics or photos much any more but really do enjoy seeing other's creations.

Myself and Dougie had a conversation about elipsed (I think that's a word) OOB's, so using an image of some ducks that Dougie supplied I came up with this...

I like very much what you came up with, Frank.
Everything is so crystal clear and blends in so nicely.
    Like the choice of background
    Very pleasing on the eye.
