This is Dougie's tutorial Gunnner. http://computerhelpforums.net/software-and-programs/46832-how-to-use-photobucket.html

If you simply copy and paste an image you will find that it may not last very long. All you are doing is copying a link to a specific page and image in photobucket. If it gets moved, deleted or changed and it is not in your own album it will disappear from the forum and get replaced with an error message that the image has been moved or removed from photobucket.

Hi Gunnner,I just tried that, and all I could do was copy it back to my Pictures,on C Drive.
Then, as an attachment, add it to my email.
When I went to paste in my Email, straight from Photobucket, the "Paste" option was grayed out.
    This was with Outlook Express.
    What email are you using?:)

EDIT Your method, Gunnner, does work in Thunderbird. Just tried it,but not with Outlook Express or GMAIL.

Just to clarify this little mystery the image is there with the code

    HTML:
    [IMG]http://computerhelpforums.net/data/MetaMirrorCache/i0006.photobucket.com_albums_0006_findstuff22_Best_20Images_Holiday_halloween1111.jpg[/IMG]
which leads me to believe That in Photobucket the Image location has been copied, then in the posting Box/Reply box he has clicked the insert Image Button then pasted the image location in there, giving the http adress IMG tags instead of URL tags

I can't see any other way that you could just copy and paste and Image and get it to work ;)

If I'm wrong please tell me.

Hi Match. In Thunderbird you can Copy an image, from your Photobucket Album, and simply paste into a Thunderbird Email.
    No attachment,nothing.

Hi Gunnner, Once your Privacy Options are set in Photobucket,no one can see your Albums.

You can,see all your images, because they are your Albums.

Post a link to an Image in your Photobucket, and someone will check for you, that only the linked image, is visable.

The fact is that if you change the editor mode you will find that the picture is not copied at all. What you have is a normal photobucket [IMG]

Hi Gunnner. There doesn't seem to be a link back to your Photobucket Album,so can't check the Privacy issue.
Could you explain the steps you used, to get this image in CHF. Thanks.

How ever both times I clicked on the link icon, then when the link box apeared---backed out the HTTP---then right click--select paste--then OK----& this is what I got. Anyway maybe you can check it for me now.-----Realy apreciate all the help-------gunnner :)

Good thing we have our Doug as the expert on this, gunner :) ... I clicked on your link and a white screen saying image has been moved or deleted came up.

I'm sure Doug will be back to rescue us, thankfully (I find PhotoBucket far, far from 'intuitive' myself - ugh!).

I will happily leave dougie to sort this out as he is our photobucket expert. But I will just emphasize that copying a photo directly to a post without going through a service like photbucket or using our own attachment tools below the post box is not possible with our current settings.

Also if you look at the photos and pictures to this thread you will find that they are IMG links and not direct pastes.

Hi Gunnner, Photoshop is like any other Program. The more you use it,the easier it becomes.
As Barry has said,if you move any image to another Album, after you have posted, the Image vanishes from the Forum Thread,so important to upload an Image from the Album/Folder where you have it,and not to move the Image,to another Album, within Photoshop, after posting.

Read the Tutorial carefully, and if you feel the need, print it out,to have beside you. Must be IMG Links for Forums.
    Don't Copy and Paste,to a forum.
That's where you are running into problems.

Before you upload an Image to photoshop from your Pictures in Documents,
Best to resize any, that are larger than 800X600.first.
Here is an easy online program to resize any image.
    Need any help resizing,just ask.

Resizr - Free Online Image, Photo, & Pictures Resize, Crop & Editing Software for MySpace

Then when you upload the Image to Photobucket, put the image into an Album/Folder straight away.
Then when you want to post the Image,Left Click on the Folder, and upload to the Forum, from there, using the Steps in the Tutorial.
Soon you will posting Images with ease.
You can do it,Gunnner. Go for it.:)

Well I have realy learned alot in this thread. THANKS To ALL who made replys. I will be experimenting with all that I have learned.

One of my problems from the start was sending a photo link in a email---and as Barry said in the begining
    .
YES----There is no need for a link. & If I enter a link in a post, the link disapears & the photo comes rite up-----If I do it rite :eek:h:

& Dougie----I print out all info.(with name who posted it) & keep it in notebook by the puta----I'm allways refering to it as I cannot remember details-----Thanks again---gunnner :D------------Time to start working with a new thing I have to learn about :yikes:

Most of us do keep notes,or printouts, beside our Computer,Gunnner.
I find if I haven't used a program, for a couple of Months,I forget some of the steps.
So you are not the only one, who needs Tutorials.
    Best of luck.:)
