Oh you poor dear thing, gunner! Not popping in here with any help as I know the others will guide you through it - simply giving you some moral support! Huge gentle smile.

(If it's an consolation at all, I personally think PhotoBucket was set up by some people with a mean sense of humour when it comes to navigation! :cryz:).

I think I am following your directions to a T. I just don't see anything happening when I move the mouse around--near--slow----skip:(

Fun, huh? :) By now I'd be ready to do the much talked about 'banging of forehead on keyboard'!

But although I'm still absolutely no help, I'm afraid ... our Spiffy walked me through the below steps, so we're really got my fingers crossed ever so hard it helps, Gunner.

    1. Open Word Pad or something similar (one needs to remember what to paste in the email later) - and now minimize it, please

Open PhotoBucket ... apparently one doesn't need to actually create an 'album' as the first time an image is uploaded, an 'album' is created automatically for you.

    2. With PhotoBucket open, click on words 'Upload Images and Videos' and this will cause another window to open on the screen ...

The new window is called, ' Select files(s) to upload by s328.photobucket.com and this is what permits one to decide which file (image) is wanted for upload ... navigate until you find the file ... click on file name ... click OK and in the new page that will open ...

    5. Click Return to Album ... and on the new page that arrives on your screen ...

    6. Look for the image that you uploaded and want to use ... click on it ... and on the new page that arrives ...

Look on the left side of the screen, near the bottom, for the words Share this image ...

    7. Under the Share this image section, you'll see the words 'Email & IM and to the right of them, a 'bar' containing lots of tiny words ...

Left-click on the 'bar' itself and the words within it will highlight ...

Right-click on the highlighted words within the 'bar' and when the tiny window arrives, choose 'Copy'

    11. Activate the 'Word Pad' or other text program you've got open ... click 'Paste'. Save the document and now you've got the 'code' for adding the image from PhotoBucket into your email.

Hi Gunnner,I don't doubt you are following the instructions, to a T.

My curser never changes from a hand, when moving anywhere on, or near the Image.

Honestly, I haven't an answer, why this is happening in your case.

Maybe a Techy may have an answer.:)

Hello Barry---Noticed your birthday greeting to Dougie.
    It came from ZWANI.com
So I went there, looks like something I could use.
But I did not see that Images could be used in a email.
Do you know if they can be sent in a email?----Some of the other greetings were also good, but they had no referace as to where they came from.-----------------------skip:)

I'm sitting here, laughing in delight with your perseverance, gunner, and groaning over the rough road of getting this to work!

Glad we (really Spiffy 'cause I just typed while he spoke as he worked his way through the steps) could help you 'get close' ... would have been better if we'd hit the 'bulls-eye', though :).

Please let us know how it's going!

Goin back to Photobucket--well actually it is rite next to this window---just learned about side by side---in a book--
OK----there is the image.---But still having trouble getting it to come rite up in a email--with out clicking on link
    OK --see what happens GO-----gunnner

Ok I think I am getting a better picture of what is happening here. If you posts something in Photobucket you can then create albums and organize your pictures. BUT if you post a picture on a forum or post a link to it in an email and THEN move it to an album your picture will disappear from the forum and a notice from photo bucket will be there in its place.

    This is an example .

What I did is post an old image of my desktop and then posted it here. After posting it I went back to photobucket and moved the picture into an album. I still have the picture in my album but it is now in a different place so it is not being found by Computer Help Forums. The difference between an attachment and a photobucket insertion in a post is that the attachment actually puts the picture on our server while the PB picture remains on the PB server and is just embedded in the post.

Does that help explain what may be happening to you?

Or ... there's always a time when life just seems too darn short to struggle with something that doesn't want to play nicely :).

TinyPics is so so so much easier to use than PhotoBucket - and no signing-up required either! The one disadvantage is after a number of months they delete images ... but this should matter if the friends you are sending emails to save the image directly to their own computer.

Please let us know how it goes - and again, really do admire your perseverance, gunner!

Well finally got around to accually using Tiny Pics. I was wanting to send a photo via e mail. First I did it with Photo Bucket. But when got the test message I noticed that it put the viewer rite into my account, were as they could view every thing and maybe change stuff (intentionally--or -By mistake ) I tried to fix that, but cannot figure out how. ANY ONE KNOW HOW

The link was a great help & printed it out. It worked just fine--Sent a test email to my self & it went---the first time(YEEEAAAA). But I still have to find the item, ( MY Bigest & continuing Problem ) In Photo Bucket the item is rite there.

Anyway THANKS For The Tip On Tiny Pics Mara & to Duggie for creating the link.--------------gunnner :)
