    Hi Connor,

The startup url that MBAM found in Google Chrome was actually showing in the earlier FRST report.
That should have been overwritten when Chrome was reset...... did you reset Google Chrome?
As it was the only thing found and is nothing extra to what we could see before...... things are looking good now as far as malware is concerned.
Does the system seem to be running better now?

Yes it runs alot better now! Is there any other possible causes for it to run slower besides malware?

    Hi Connor,

    That's good to hear. :)

Yes, there are quite a few things that can slow down Windows.
Too many process's/services running, too much security, etc
For a more involved answer, see here: (most of the info is related to systems up to Win7 .... but basically it still applies )
    Slow Computer/browser?

    Computer running slowly

I did notice a few errors relating to:
These seem fairly common when updating Win8 and seem to be more common when M$ Office (notably Excel ) and Battle.Net are installed.
You have both... so this may arise from either of the programs.
Running System File Checker may correct this:

Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Search.
Or, if you are using a mouse, point to the lower-right corner of the screen, and then click Search.
Type Command Prompt in the Search box.
Right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click Allow.

At the command prompt, type the following command, and then press the ENTER key on the keyboard:
    sfc /scannow

(the space is meant to be there between the c and the / )

You will find detailed instructions here:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833

Sometimes the utility has to be run a couple of times before it corrects things.

Let's finish the cleaning process and remove the tools we have used.
We'll also set you a fresh restore point.

    Step 1
    Restart MBAM.
Click on the History tab >> Quarantine
Tick to select all items and then click the Delete button.
    Close MBAM.

    Step 2
Download Delfix and save it to your desktop.
    • Ensure Remove disinfection tools is checked.
    • Also place a checkmark next to:
    • Create registry backup
    • Purge system restore

      e784dacb6998c919c2f136ca95e82545.png
      .
    • Click the Run button.
When the tool has finished, a log will open in notepad.... but i don't actually need this report

    Step 3

Eset can be removed using the Remove Programs feature in Control Panel.

To find out how you may have been infected....read this topic:
    How did i get infected?

Glad I was able to help.

    Safe surfing. 200636f9a90a19cb85ecf0ba93831af6.gif

    Hi Connor,

Sorry, i forgot to add this to my previous post ( just found it on my Desktop)

I did check out your specs yesterday and found this:

So using the wrong resolution for the games may not help the system run smoothly.
    Just a thought.
