I was wondering if there's any free updates or any way i can get my Paint Shop Pro to work properly on my new laptop which has Vista?
It's version 7 so yes i know it's an old one but worked fine with XP but wont crop pictures with Vista.
Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated thanks. :)

    Hello ONY,

There doesn't seem to be any free update or even a patch that would allow complete Vista compatibility. I

have Paint Shop Pro XI for Vista. It is now owned by Corel instead of Jasco. I wish I could be of more help

but from what I can tell the only option is to upgrade at a smaller fee than actually purchasing it as new.

    Hi ONY,

I think this might work it worked with me. (I had to do this to make my Photoshop work with Windows Vista and with my 7) To run the installer in Vista, you are going to right-click the installer, select "Properties" and navigate to the "compatibility" tab, and there will be a small sentence saying "Run this program in compatibility mode for: "make sure the tick box beside it is ticked" and select "Windows XP (Service Pack 3) and click "Apply" then "OK". I am pretty sure this will work, after installation "if it does" if you have a shortcut on your desktop then right-click that select "Properties" and set it to compatibility mode for "Windows XP (Service Pack 3)" and click apply, then OK.

You should be able to launch Paint shop PRO!

I hoped this helped (this will make the program run as if it was running in XP.)
