Page File Settings in server 2008

    Can someone please clarify the page file settings on server 2008 for me?

    I'm not sure to leave it on system managed or manually set it.

    Also, on systems with large amounts of memory, i.e. 128Gb, do we need one at
    all?I've seen references to anything over 50Gb is not necessary.

    Anyway, just looking for some ideas/thoughts.

    The pagefile is used when the server crashes, to have the dump file so it
    should exist one.

    Check this article's for determining and configuration, also applies to 2008:
