For some reason on my firefox browser when I sign in to my outlook/hotmail account it auto-fills in my password. Obviously this is stupid but how do I stop it?
    Thank you.

Hi Tony, that is the first time I have heard that, most folks want it to remember passwords LOL.

Click on tools, then Options, click the Security tab, then remove the tick for Remember passwords. You will then have to use the password for every site you visit including here though.

Thanks Nev. Ofcourse on most sites I welcome the password filling its self in as it is not protecting anything sensitive or particularly private, but ones email account is very personal, surely I'm not the only one who wants to safeguard its contents?
Surely its not beyond todays technology to be able to disable the function on specific sites?
I did wonder if this is a Hotmail issue rather than a firefox one?

If you go back to that security window in options, you can put that tick back in, then click on Exceptions, in the next window to open put the URL address for your hotmail and any other E Mail account in there and the password will not be remembered then.
It is purely a Firefox and other browsers thing, Internet Explorer will do it as well as an example.
