In Outlook Express 6, I have to open and Highlight the Email, before I can delete.
    I think this is risky.
Wondering is there another safer method, to Delete potentially infectious Emails?
    Thanks. :)

There is no need to open an email in order to delete it. Just highlight the email from the list without opening and right click. Delete will be an option. In OE6 you can "bulk" delete by holding the control key when highlighting and selecting the ones you want to delete. You can also use "edit" and select all if that is what you want to do.

If you hold the shift down and use the delete key the emails are deleted immediately instead of being sent to the 'deleted' folder. Shift/Delete does the same in Windows Explorer instead of sending to the recycle bin. I was surprised how many of my friends didn't know this.

The same is true with Windows Live Mail. I have known that for about 2 whole minutes  Thanks Al!

    UPDATE.
    Finally got this problem sorted.
With Outlook Express 6,Set on Default,
Highlighting Spam to delete, automatically opens the infected Email,by default.
    Risking immediate infection.

    FIX.
    Open "VIEW" > "LAYOUT"
    Uncheck the "Show Preview Pane"

Now when you Highlight the Email to Delete, the Email won't open,
    unless double clicking on it.

Hope this helps others better protect themselves, against infected Emails. :)
