    Hello there,
How can I give users all permissions except rename, move, delete?
So they will only be able to create files[not folders] and append to
them, and not being able to delete, move, possibly rename them. Thank
    you, T

If they create the file they are the "owner", therefore as owner they can change
    the permissions. Hence do anything.

There are 10 types of people, those that understand binary and those that don't.

    Hi David,
Actually this group of users should only be able to create and rename
files, and not move or delete them.
Also not to be able to create/rename/delete directories.
    Thank you, T

I know this is what you want but I do not think it is possible because the owner
has the right to change the permissions.

This you can do. Look at the advanced permissions. You can give create
permissions to Files only. hence not folders. If they cannot create folders then
they are not owners and you can set whatever permissions you want.
