NTBackup.exe hangs in Windows 2003 SP1

We are using Ntbackup.exe to backup database to a network share. If we
schedule this backup process, Ntbackup.exe is hanging for some attempts and
is not terminating. Files are copying to networkshare but the ntbackup
process is not terminating. Manual backup is working perfectly. Following is
the string that we are using to execute the ntbackup. Logs indicate that the
process is hanging during the verification.It is also working fine if v
switch(/v:no) is set to no.

ntbackup backup "@C:\MIS\Backup_cmd\Mis_backup.bks" /f
"\\132.186.123.231\Screening\backup.bkf" /um /v:yes "Backup , at
08-Apr-2009 11:07:09" /SNAPff

Hello Shain,

I strongly recommend that you update to SP2 and the latest patches. There
where problems within VSS that are solved now.
