A week ago I accidentally dropped the jack for my headset into my computer which landed on my motherboard causing it to break. So I bought a new motherboard and set it up today. The power turns on and my cpu fan and graphics card turns on, but the monitor says no signal and turns off
I browsed many forums looking for help do u decided to make this.
The cpu currently installed is brand new and wasn't used on the old motherboard.

Anybody know the issue and how to fix it??

Hi and welcome to Computer Help Forums.
Can you be absolutely sure that the power supply is OK?
Whatever damaged the motherboard, if it was powered on at the time it could have gone back and damaged the power supply as well.

Just because some things turn on such as fans, doesn't mean the other outputs from the PSU are OK.

Checking that the PSU is OK or not is the first thing I would look into by either trying it on a different computer, trying a different PSU or if a multimeter is available doing a test with that.
If none of those are available a repair shop will test it for you at a modest charge or even nothing if they think there may be a sale of a new one.

Can you please tell us all the details in your next reply, we could do with knowing the make and model of the new mother board, the new cpu, and also the make and model of the power supply.

    Nev.

Tell us your hardware please. Is there a plug from Psu missing into video card? No way we would know that as we don't know if you are using onboard video or pci card.
Did you remember to plug in 12v rail? What cpu AMD or INtel. This is impossible to answer without knowing the hardware involved.
