I have some Windows servers 2003 R2 (x64) with Intel ORO/1000 EB NIC (updared
    driver).
On starting, there is no networking activity available.
Disabling and than enabling the adapter solve the problem.
This is a major problem on some servers such as Echange Server 2007.
    Can anybody help?

  2. Have you changed the NIC? Updated the drivers?

Do the connectivity/activity lights on the card and on the switch do
anything? E.g. they might show a connection comes up but gets dropped at
some time during the boot process.

Did they work /before/ the driver was updated?

    Hi,
I did NOT replace the NIC. This situation is from the beginning.
The driver is the most update driver from Intel.

    Jacob,

Any event log errors concerning this or even anything that may not even
    remotely appear related to this?

What type of hardware (Dell, HP, model#, etc)?
