I have a GIGABYTE GA-G1.Sniper Z97 LGA 1150 Intel Z97 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard with a 430 watt power supply and an intel i7 cpu. The computer turns on but when I attach a HDMI cord to my monitor and motherboard nothing comes up and the monitor says it doesn't have a signal form anything?
Does this have something to do with the power supply or the motherboard itself?

Welcome Jared P. Are you using the on board video or is there a separate video card?

A note of caution, I've been told that you shouldn't connect an HDMI cable while the units are powered on. Connect the cable before turning on the PC and the monitor.

Give us the specs on your Cpu and model #, it may not have video capability.
The power supply unless it is high quality sounds very inadequate to me also, what exactly is the make and model of the psu and how old is it?
