new computer

I do not have a disc to install drivers of the graphic type. I think I have one that is titled drivers and utilities.
There must be other out there that have experienced this same problem. I have never before had adjust every screen to fit my monitor. This computer is only a couple of weeks old, sorry that I gave up on my xp model now.

The graphics uninstall and reinstall what does it involve? Will I have buy a graphic driver disc?

 

No you should be able to download and install free from Dell. Uninstall from Control Panel Programs and Features first.
www.dell.com support and drivers and there should be a service tag number on your computer which will make the driver easier to maintain.

 

I am not sure how plausible this is, but a tech at Dell asked about my monitor, and if i purchased it new with my computer.

I told her it was the monitor for my 5 year or better old computer. Tech said that old monitor, did not have the right electronics inside it to pick up the new information put out by the computer to have syncronization. Does sound right or no? And do i need a newer monitor with more updated electronics?

I had only the mcaffe installed just, made mistake and thought Norton was sir name (owner) of mcafee, i have put avg on my computer, and uninstalled mcafee. Microsoft Security Essentials, i missed this reference, is this much better than AVG?

I have AVG, and i also have malware bytes installed, are these downloads incompatible?

 

And do not put Mse with Avg. Personally I would get rid of Avg, it is way too much system drag whereas Mse has none at all and we haven't seen a real virus in years anyway.

 

I am wondering about AVG, when I run the free AVG scan, it states that there are two alerts l this scan is unable to get rid of, turns out I find they are actually root kits. Not sure about that exact name. But it seems to me that this something brought out to scare into buying AVG. Non free version

 

Can you tell us exactly what AVG finds so we can see if they are false positives or not?

 

Now that you have asked and I ran the scan again I have found there is now only 1 infected something or other that cannot be fixed, this not the free version this is the temporary version with the 30 day expiration, so it should be better,

I just noticed that while cruising through the forum to find windows 7 forum, all the legends that list forums for 7 forum for xp forum for 8 and so on. are half covered up, partly, by the 1 st post in that legend. Is this my computer action up again or just work on the sight

 

I see nothing like that on my systems.

What i wrote was all it said, when i clicked on item that would list the name of problem, it went to a place where i would have to agree to give credit card no., for the premium upgrade.

I don't believe Lewis and Clark, could follow the directions given to remove this malware, therefore, I do not stand a chance. Thanks, though, I am not without appreciation.

I do already have this malwarebytes downloaded, it failed to protect my pc from this problem.

Free Malwarebytes is no protection at all, and isn't supposed to be, only the paid version has protection built in and even the paid version, is only fair as protection from Malware. :"C;Emergency" means absolutely nothing and if that is really all it showed you, it has to be a false positive and nothing to worry about.
